We strive to foster an environment in which our professionals can contribute their time and energy to their families, their neighbors and their communities. As a firm, we acknowledge and embrace our role as a responsible, involved citizen and community leader.
MarcumRachlin's community involvement goes beyond volunteering with charities and donating money. Many of the professionals of the firm have been actively involved in not for profits for several years and many have played a part in the creation of organizations. Organizations include the I Have a Dream Foundation, Family Counseling Services of Miami Dade, Healthy Mothers - Healthy Babies of Broward County, Miami Dade Public School's AYMS program, and the Hospice of Palm Beach County Inc.
Volunteer Committee
The firm also has a Volunteer Committee responsible for identifying and coordinating hands-on volunteer initiatives for each office. We've helped build homes, served food to the homeless, and collected school supplies for underprivileged children. We also have several programs like our annual toy drive during the holidays and "Jeans Day" where once a month employees can wear jeans to work if they donate at least five dollars to selected local charities. MarcumRachlin proudly matches the contributions collected and in August, "Jeans Day" raised over $12,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
One of the core values at MarcumRachlin is giving back to the community. Through the Rachlin Foundation Planned Giving Program, team members of the firm have an easy way to voluntarily contribute to four designated local charities.
Donations are deducted directly from their paychecks and then distributed quarterly to four South Florida non-profit organizations that support causes in these categories: healthcare, children’s welfare, the elderly and poverty. Rachlin is the only accounting and advisory firm in Florida that has a charitable giving program of this kind.
