Ronald Friedman, head of the retail practice and partner-in-charge of the Southern California region for Marcum LLP, was quoted in the Los Angeles Times article “Hordes of Post-Christmas Shoppers Expected.”

In the article, Mr. Friedman said, “With the help of carefully planned discounts throughout the season, many retailers have been steadily clearing through their holiday merchandise in the weeks after Thanksgiving.”

Additionally, Mr. Friedman said, "They won't have to do severe price cutting, although sales will still be promotion driven. Discounts will continue going until the end of the year."
