Richard Gordon is a Partner in the New York City office of the Firm’s Accounting Services division. He specializes in providing one-on-one business advisory services to individuals‚ closely-held businesses and middle-market companies and works very closely with clients in the entertainment‚ investment and services industries. He has developed a niche for cultivating relationships with “up and coming” creative entrepreneurs such as artists‚ actors‚ sports figures and other personalities and will serve as their trusted advisor as they develop their careers.
Mr. Gordon’s entrepreneurial spirit and in-depth background have greatly contributed to the evolution of the Firm’s Accounting Services division. He established a Life Management Services program that offers family office services for professionals and personalities on the go. In addition‚ as a member of the Firm’s Technology‚ Internet‚ Media and Entertainment (TIME) group‚ Mr. Gordon works with clients within these industries to solve complex business problems and manage their financial business plans.
Mr. Gordon joined the Firm in 1996 and was promoted to Partner in 1998. Previously‚ he operated his own tax‚ accounting and consulting practice that catered to young‚ aggressive entrepreneurs. Earlier in his career‚ Mr. Gordon worked for a major international public accounting firm where he provided private business advisory services for closely-held businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Gordon’s strong personal interest in running has led him to complete 10 New York City Marathons. He also voluntarily provides leadership for a nonprofit organization that is committed to serving youth by promoting excellence and fitness through a broad range of athletic‚ educational and community programs.
